Toolkits

The NRC-CWDT offers the following toolkits, which contain a collection of documents and links pertaining to a topic of interest.

AFCARS Toolkit

The AFCARS Toolkit provides both new and experienced State child welfare program and system staff with an orientation to the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS). The AFCARS Toolkit provides links to key materials and documents related to the collection of quality data that can be used to address policy development and program management issues at the State and Federal level. Please note the Children's Bureau provides additional technical documentation regarding AFCARS on their web site (www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cb/dis/afcars).

CFSR Round 2 Data Profile Toolkit

The Round 2 State Data Profile Toolkit contains a general overview of the CFSR initiative, an introduction to the data used in the CFSRs, a detailed explanation of the State Data Profile, and a guide to looking at what’s behind the numbers. Additionally it contains a Quick Reference Guide to the CFSR State Data Profile Elements, a CFSR Glossary, as well as other useful documents, links and tools.
