Technology

In working with automated information systems and data, there are many tools to support data collection, data sharing, and data analysis. “Technology” does not only refer to tools such as hardware and software, but also includes methods and techniques. Because technology is constantly changing, the NRC-CWDT provides resources such as tip sheets, technology related webinars, and lessons learned from agencies on the topic of new and emerging technologies. Topics such as web 2.0, mobile computing, microwave connections, and GIS systems have very practical applications in child welfare.  New technologies are also highlighted in the annual Child Welfare Data and Technology Conference.

The NRC-CWDT is pleased to offer States a wide range of technical assistance and products on emerging technologies.
