Derivation of the CFSR Composite Scores (Generic Version)

The following materials allow States the opportunity to write code to independently derive the CFSR Composite Scores using the software of your choice.

CFSR Composite Scores Calculation Logic
This document provides instructions for writing software code to derive the CFSR Composite Scores. The logical steps in these instructions can be coded in the software tool of your choice. As this document is used by the field, future edits for clarity can be expected, however, material changes are not anticipated.

Version 1.2 (September 14, 2007). Please see Page 1 of the document for specific information on revisions incorporated.

FIPS Mapping File
This file (fixed flat ASCII) is used to derive the CFSR Composite Scores. Use of this file is described in the CFSR Composite Scores Calculation Logic document. It is suggested that this file be viewed using "Word" initially as it provides instruction related to its use at the beginning of the file.
