About Us

The National Resource Center for Information Technology in Child Welfare (NRC-ITCW) was established in September 1999 by the Children's Bureau of the Administration on Children, Youth and Families, Administration for Children and Families. A five-year cooperative agreement was awarded to the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) to support States, local and Tribal child welfare programs, and courts in their effective use of automated information systems and data. That five-year agreement was renewed in September of 2004 with the NRC-ITCW being renamed the National Resource Center for Child Welfare Data and Technology (NRC-CWDT). CWLA is pleased to continue its partnership with Xtria, and the National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA). Please follow the links below for descriptive information about the partners and the NRC-CWDT staff.
