Larry Brown, MSW, works as a private consultant in areas related to child welfare, juvenile justice, data use and development, executive coaching and practice improvement strategies.
He is the former Executive Deputy Commissioner for the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). He was the Child Welfare Director for New York and served as the SACWIS Program Manager before that. Larry has an extensive background in child welfare services, child care and juvenile justice, as well as policy, research, and evaluation. He and his wife, Linda, live in Upstate NY and are now adventurous empty nesters, willing to travel at the drop of a hat!
