Julie Chang has been with the NRC-CWDT since its inception more than 10 years ago.
She is currently responsible for providing technical assistance to states and tribes on building capacity for analyzing child welfare data as well as the development of information systems. Her experience includes IT project procurement and implementation, database administration and software/website development, including the CWLA’s National Data Analysis System and the NRC-CWDT’s Reconnect Families database tool. Recently, she has been working on building online communities in the child welfare IT field and use of social media. She received her master’s degree in Child and Family Development from Virginia Tech. Julie has two preschool sons named Ryan and Alex who are looking forward to the day they get their first puppy.
