George Gabel, M.A., M.S., is Westat’s Management Team Leader.

Working as a senior study director at Westat since 1996, George has played senior roles in several important child welfare projects, including the evaluation of Colorado’s Consortium for Differential Response, the evaluation of Illinois and Wisconsin’s Subsidized Guardianship IV-E waivers, the use of SACWIS data for the evaluation of Ohio’s IV-E waiver, and technical assistance to New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). Prior to Westat, George worked as the Director of Management Analysis for New York City’s ACS. George has two cats and a dog, and currently is a teacher of children’s classes at the National Zoo.
